Join us on Saturday, December 13th at 11 am if you are at least 3 years old for a festive holiday craft. We will be providing pom poms, stick-on jewels, and all sorts of decorative materials for stocking decorating! Just bring yourself and your bedazzling skills to what could be just the thing to help you get (even more?) into the holiday spirit.
No registration necessary! We will look forward to ringing in the holidays with you then!
Did you attend our Tween Tech Workshops earlier this fall? Did you enjoy tinkering on Scratch and creating projects online that you could share with your peers? Do you want to become more familiar with other software and apps? Are in grades 4 thru 7?
Grades 2-6, please join us for our final Art School Art session of 2014!
On Wednesday afternoon, December 10th, at 4:30 pm we will be designing and creating our own nutcracker paintings. We will learn about the history and traditions of nutcrackers in Germany and the United States, view some amazing examples, and then get to work on our original art. This lesson will help introduce us to the concept of symmetry ... and it will also be super fun!
Not many people know about the secret part of Santa's team. Local author Cynthia Dreeman Meyer shows us what really goes on the night before Christmas in her book, “Merry Stirring Mice,” a delightful turnaround on the claim “not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.” The book reading will be accompanied by a fun sing-a-long with Miss Cynthia, who is also a preschool music and movement teacher.
