If your child needs some time to become acclimated to our setting, please feel free to come at 9:45 am.

This program precedes our Read to a Dog program at 11:00 am, in which certified therapy dogs come to the library. Rusty, one of our therapy dogs, will be available around 10:40 am specifically for the Sensory and Movement Storytime, so as to accommodate children who may be more comfortable in a smaller group. Read to a Dog

Back to school is the perfect time to practice your reading!

Meet Zoe, Turner, Omega, Clover and Rusty -- Janie is on vacation this month! -- at Read to a Dog on Saturday, September 12th from 11:00 am to Noon. This program is open to all ages and abilities, both readers and pre-readers. Feel free to read together as a family!

Reading aloud to non-judgmental listeners (like dogs!) boosts confidence and improves reading and recitation skills. Moreover, reading together helps to reinforce letter recognition and vocabulary, and it creates a stronger bond with books. It's also a lot of fun! Don't believe us? Check out these great photos from our summer session.

Ready to sign up? Cool! Please register by clicking here or on the flyer below. Woof!
