Read to a Dog! Photos

We had so much fun at our October session of Read to a Dog. Huge thanks to Rusty, Turner, and Clover (pictured below!) for taking the time out of their busy schedules to listen to our young readers. Want to see more photos from October? Please click here or on Clover's picture below. Our dogs visit us the first Saturday of each month, so they will return on Saturday, November 1st at 11:00 am. We hope to see you then! Woof!

Fall Storytimes

Fall Storytimes are starting up! Woo hoo! We will read stories, sing songs, do fun learning activities, and make a craft!

This registration will cover the entire eight-week session (we understand that you will likely miss a few classes; that's perfectly okay!). We look forward to seeing you!

After School Art

Calling all budding artists!

We love art, we love painting, and we love creating. We think you do, too! So we are launching four weeks of After School Art for grades 2 through 6. We will meet on four consecutive Wednesdays from October 1st through October 22nd at 4:30 pm. Each week, we will learn about a different type of art and explore some of its associated culture. Then we will get busy being creative!

Tween Tech Workshops: Session 4

Do you enjoy learning new skills and ways to be creative on the computer? Are you looking to become more technologically savvy? Did you enjoy learning programming or learning how to write HTML in our previous sessions? Are you in grades 4-7?

If so, please join us for our fourth and final session of Tween Tech Workshops on Tuesday, October 21st at 4:30 until 5:30 pm.

Wiggles & Giggles: Monster Mash!

Enjoying the crisp fall weather? Thinking about Halloween? Missing music and dance storytimes? Then why not bring your excitement for the season to a special Wiggles & Giggles storytime that will ring in Halloween and all its monsters? We'll be sure to read stories, dance, and sing about pumpkins, ghosts, and creepy ceatures of all shapes and sizes.

Halloween Evening Storytime

Boo!

Children ages 3 and up, please wear your costumes and join us for an Evening Halloween Storytime on Thursday, October 23rd at 6:30 pm. We'll read spooky stories, sing Halloween songs, and make our own mummy craft. When we're all finished, we will trick or treat through the library!

Preschool Playtime

Empty meeting room + toys + music + instruments + fun surprises = Preschool Playtime!

Ages 18 months to 5 years are welcome to join us for our third session of Preschool Playtime on Friday, October 24th from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. This will be the third of our October Friday sessions where kids can play, socialize, burn off some energy, and make new friends.

Saturday Halloween Storytime

We love Halloween ... and we can never celebrate it enough!

Children ages 3 and up, please wear your costumes and join us for a Saturday Halloween Storytime on Saturday, October 25th at 10:00 am. We will have lots of fun reading stories and singing songs. Afterward, we will make a Halloween picture frame and then go trick or treating in the library!

Haunted Library! Featuring Dancing Lantern Shadow Puppet Theatre

Our friends from the Dancing Lantern Shadow Theatre will be visiting us on Monday, October 27th at 7:00 pm as part of our Haunted LibraryChildren ages 6 and up will be treated to a shadow puppet play about the New Jersey Devil. Afterward, we will go "backstage" and make our own spooky puppets. Finally, we will trick or treat throughout the library.

Halloween Fitness Storytime

This month's Fitness Storytime will be held on Thursday, October 30th at 11:00 am. Ms. Melissa, our certified personal trainer, will be reading Halloween-themed stories to children ages 3 and up. After our books, we will get up and work out to some Halloween-themed music. So much fun!

Please, no costumes for this program. Just wear something comfy!
