Please note this event was rescheduled from its original date due to instructor illness. We hope you can make it on Friday!

Ages 3 and up, please join us for Fitness Storytime with certified personal trainer Melissa Schulte on Friday, January 30th at 11:30 am.

Did you know that physical activity for preschoolers improves coordination and builds stamina? It does! It's also an effective way to begin learning sportsmanship, goal setting, and team work. We will listen to great stories and then use a wide variety of props -- cones, weighted scarves, hand prints, fitness dice, etc. -- in structured play.

These sessions fill up quickly! Don't miss your chance ... sign up by clicking here or on the flyer below!

Yoga Storytime

We love yoga ... and you do, too!

Ms. Michele's next session of Yoga Storytime will be held on Thursday, February 5th at 10:00 amChildren ages 2 and up are welcome to come hear stories, stretch, and practice yoga poses. Please register by clicking here or on the flyer below. Namaste!

Preschool Playtime

Empty meeting room + toys + music + instruments + fun surprises = Preschool Playtime!

Ages 18 months to 5 years are welcome to join us for Preschool Playtime on Friday, February 6th from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. Think of this session as an indoor playground where kids can play, socialize, burn off some energy, and make new friends.

So that we have plenty of room for everyone to spread out, please register by clicking here or on the flyer below.

See you soon!

Sensory and Movement Storytime

Our next session of Sensory and Movement Storytime for Kids with Special Needs (for children with physical, developmental, medical, emotional, and/or learning-based special needs) will be held on Saturday, February 7th at 10:00 am.

If your child needs some time to become acclimated to our setting, please feel free to come at 9:45 am.

This program precedes our Read to a Dog program at 11:00 am, in which certified therapy dogs come to the library. Two of our therapy dogs will be available around 10:40 am specifically for the Sensory and Movement Storytime, so as to accommodate children who may be more comfortable in a smaller group. All children are welcome to stay for the 11:00 am session.

Please register by clicking here or on the flyer below. We can't wait to see you!

Read to a Dog!

Stay reading this winter with our therapy dogs! Meet Clover, Omega, Rusty, Zoe, Turner, and Janie at Read to a Dog on Saturday, February 7th from 11:00 am to Noon. This program is open to all ages and abilities, both readers and pre-readers.

Reading aloud to non-judgmental listeners (like dogs!) boosts confidence and improves reading and recitation skills. Moreover, reading together helps to reinforce letter recognition and vocabulary, and it creates a stronger bond with books. It's also a lot of fun! Don't believe us? Check out these great photos from our January session.

Ready to sign up? Cool! Please register by clicking here or on the flyer below. Woof!

Edible Art: Sugar Cube Houses

Ms. Marianne from Edible Art -- who helped us build Candy Land boards in December -- is visiting us again on Monday, February 9th at 6:30 pm. Children ages 7 and up will build houses from sugar cubes. These are mini houses (about four inches tall) that we will then decorate with different candies. You can eat your house afterward ... if you dare! :-)

We have limited space and limited materials for this fun program, so please register by clicking here or on the flyer below. See you soon!

Saturday Drop-In Craft: Folding Fun

Ages 3 and up (and their families!), please join us on Saturday, February 14th at 10:00 am for some fun paper folding crafts. We'll be making doggies, ladybugs, sailboats, and lots of other cool things. With just a little help, these are super easy crafts for kids that also teach basic geometry. Little ones can decorate their creations, glue them onto construction paper for great Valentine's Day cards, make puppets ... the choices are endless!
